The First Ask is seeking a Campaign Manager to work with a The First Ask candidate running for the Georgia General Assembly. 2024 is a critical election year for Democrats in the state of Georgia and it is imperative that candidates receive the necessary support they need to win in November.
The Campaign Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campaign, including developing and executing campaign strategy, developing and maintaining relationships with community members and volunteers, and working directly with the candidate to execute necessary campaign activities. In addition, the Campaign Manager oversees any staff hired by the campaign and must actively engage stakeholders.

This is a seasonal position with multiple openings on different campaigns. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate if needed.

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Knowledge of NGPVan and voter contact software;
- Ability to develop and maintain community partnerships;
- Strong writing skills and ability to write in the candidates voice;
- Previous experience with political campaigns, in a paid or volunteer capacity;
- Experience managing staff and/or volunteers is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Campaign Plan: Work with The First Ask to develop and implement a successful campaign plan;
- Organizing and Launching Voter Contact: Develop a strategic voter cobtact plan using available voter data. Organize and launch canvasses, phonebanks, and text banks with volunteers;
- Managing Staff/Volunteers: Cultivate a positive and productive environment for staff and volunteers. Continue to grow the campaign volunteer base by developing community partnerships;
- Communications: Maintain a social media presence, draft press releases, and create talking points for the candidate/campaign;
- Fundraising Plan: Draft and implement a fundraising plan that relies on donor contact and research. Staff the candidate during fundraising calls and at events;
- Contribution and Expenditure Tracking: Manage the campaigns incoming and outgoing expenses for reporting and budgeting.
