VB Rags Volleyball is a performance and lifestyle brand built exclusively for volleyball. We design team uniforms, signature footwear and apparel, and serve clubs, athletes and families through our team stores and online shop.
We’re hiring an Operations Associate Intern to help us build a more reliable inventory operation at our Plano warehouse. Your main spring project will be helping us roll out a Shopify-compatible barcode system, starting with a pilot group of products. You’ll see how a product moves from a manufacturing purchase order through receiving, inventory and shipment to a customer.
What you’ll do
Help clean up product, SKU and barcode records in Shopify. Test barcode labels and scanning as part of the inventory pilot.
Support receiving and cycle counts. Compare physical inventory with Shopify records, investigate discrepancies with the operations team and flag low-stock items.
Help prepare and track manufacturing purchase orders. Verify styles, colors, sizes and quantities, update expected ship dates and flag delays or shortages.
Maintain simple reports on inventory discrepancies, open purchase orders and inbound shipments. Document the procedures you help put in place.
Pitch in with occasional picking, packing and shipping during busy periods. Most of your time will be spent on inventory systems, purchasing support and process improvement.
What we’re looking for
A current college student studying supply chain management, logistics, operations, business analytics, information systems, industrial engineering, business or a related field.
Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets to sort, filter and compare records.
Attention to detail and the curiosity to figure out why two records disagree.
Clear communication, reliable follow-through and availability to work on-site in Plano during the semester.
Experience with Shopify, barcodes, inventory or purchase orders is welcome. We’ll train you on our tools and workflows.
What you’ll build
You’ll work with the operations team to run a barcode pilot, reconcile the pilot inventory against Shopify and write a receiving and counting guide the team can use as it rolls the process out to more products.
Potential full-time opportunity
The internship may lead to a full-time Operations Associate position as early as Q2 2027, depending on performance, business needs and your availability.
