The Role
Lila & Hayes is seeking a Product Development and Production Manager to take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and sampling through bulk production, delivery, and launch readiness.
This role serves as the central driver of product execution. It requires strong organization, disciplined timeline management, and confident factory communication to ensure collections are delivered on time, aligned with approved specifications, and executed with margin awareness.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated self-starter who is ready to step into meaningful ownership, move initiatives forward independently, and grow alongside a scaling brand.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Execution
- Own and drive development timelines across multiple overlapping collections
- Lead the sampling process from prototype through final approval
- Track costing updates and monitor margin impact
- Lead fit sessions and clearly communicate product revisions
Production Management
- Manage day-to-day factory communication and production timelines
- Proactively identify risks and help drive solutions before issues impact delivery
- Ensure bulk production aligns with approved standards and quality expectations
- Coordinate shipment timing and production documentation
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with warehouse, marketing, and wholesale teams to ensure launch readiness
- Provide clear handoff documentation prior to warehouse intake
- Communicate timeline updates and production changes with clarity and urgency
Operational Discipline
- Maintain organized and accessible development documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce production errors
- Review production documentation prior to payment approval
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design/Production, Apparel and Textile Management,Supply Chain/Business with apparel experience, or related field
- 2+ years experience in apparel product development and/or production
- Experience supporting or managing factory communication and development timelines
- Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to take initiative while working closely with leadership
