Whether you’re wrapping up final projects or gearing up for a new adventure, this season is all about learning, building skills, and stepping into new experiences. At Insight Partners, we recently hosted our Annual Sourcing Summit, an event designed to support and inspire our analyst team, many of whom got their start as summer interns. As our co-founder Jeff Horing shared with the group, analysts are the “lifeblood of Insight,” and “sourcing is everything.”
As you head into your own summer experience, here are a few tips to help you prepare:
- Get to know the company & industry: Take time to research the firm, recent news, and broader trends. A little prep can help you feel more confident and curious going in.
- Set goals: Think about what you hope to learn, who you want to meet, and how you want to grow during your internship.
- Relax: Don’t forget to rest and reset after finals – you show up at your best when you give yourself time to breathe.
