1) “Secret” jobs – It’s almost impossible to get headcount inside any company or organization these days. Once you’ve battled endlessly just to be able to hire someone, why would you keep it a secret???
2) “Exclusive” relationships – Maybe that would have made sense back in the “Mad Men” era of rolodexes. But we live in an age when LinkedIn has 1B users – everyone now has the same magic rolodex… 🙂
3) $$$ contracts – If they’re so good, why are they asking you to pay 5-figures up-front when you’re unemployed? Wouldn’t they be content to charge you *after* they help you land a job with your new $200K salary… 😉
