The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program is designed for those committed to making a global impact as U.S. diplomats. Benefits of the Fellowship:
- Up to $42,000 annually for two years, covering tuition, room, board, books, and fees for a master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Orientation and mentoring from experienced Foreign Service Officers.
- Two summer internships: one at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., and one at an overseas U.S. embassy or consulate.
- Guaranteed employment with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service upon successful completion of the program and meeting entry requirements, with a five-year service commitment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship.
- Admission to a two-year, full-time, on-campus master’s degree program at a U.S.-based institution starting in fall 2025.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
