U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff Summer Internship Program – Applications Open Feb 13th – March 10th

The office of Senator Jon Ossoff is excited to open our Summer 2023 applications for our internship program in our DC and State offices beginning February 13th and ending March 10th. The internship program will last approximately 12 weeks, beginning in June and ending in August and will require potential candidates to report in person for the duration of the internship program. This is a paid internship opportunity at $15/hour. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

About this Opportunity:

Interns in our state offices of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff will assist state staff with constituent service-related responsibilities including but not limited to: answering constituent calls, assisting with casework requests, and assisting with the daily functions of the state office. Interns will be assigned to either our casework or outreach team. Outreach team members will assist staff with various tasks such as writing event memos and conducting outreach to stakeholders and organizations. Interns may also be tasked with additional projects, as requested. Successful applicants will be organized, creative, highly motivated and possess strong writing, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Interns in our DC office will assist staff with administrative work (answering incoming phone calls, logging constituent opinions, responding to constituent messages, leading Capitol tours, maintaining the front office). Interns will be assigned to the legislative team, communications team, or scheduling team to assist with additional projects. (Legislative work: drafting constituent letters, writing briefing memos, batching constituent mail. Communications work: drafting press releases, compiling press clips, creating press lists. Scheduling work: responding to scheduling requests, escorting guests to meetings).
